If you’re looking for a solid pub feed there are parmas, steaks, burgers and vegetarian meals all around the east, and some top bargains if you keep an eye out for weekly specials.

We collated a few options for your next trip to the local.

A burger and chips for $15? Don't mind if I do.

Urban Alley Brewery in Knox serves up a burger and chips for $15 every Wednesday, with chicken, beef and veggie available.

Pizzas are $15 on Mondays, and there’s $1 chicken wings every day from 3pm to 6pm.

$20 parmas are on Tuesdays.

There’s $20 minute steak or $25 porterhouse steak on Thursdays.

You may even want to pop into the cinemas next door to enjoy a movie after your meal.

This charming brewhouse-style venue is in Knox Ozone at Westfield, 425 Burwood Highway in Wantirna South.

Open from 12pm to 10:30pm Sunday-Thursday, 12pm to 2am Friday and 12pm to 3am Saturdays.

On Tuesday nights, the Boronia Hotel has parmas for $18.

Vegan options are also available and you can boost the meal with loaded Aussie, Hawaiian or Mexican toppings for an extra $2.

Affectionately known by locals as The Blacky, the Blackburn Hotel has a Wednesday night rump steak with chips, salad and sauce for $25, which you can score from 5.30pm to 9pm. The deal also includes a wine or soft drink.

A short walk from Blackburn Station and close to bustling Box Hill, the Blackburn Hotel is family-friendly and caters to sport lovers by broadcasting live games.

Another family and sport friendly location, the Mitcham Hotel serves up $1 chicken wings on Wednesdays.

Opposite the Mitcham shopping precinct — and a short walk from Mitcham Station — the haunt is accessible and welcoming.

There’s also pasta, parma and steak nights on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays respectively.

A big fan of Italian food? Castello's Croydon Hotel is currently serving up a carbilicious deal.

For $25, you can choose from three handmade pastas with shaved parmesan. Or for $75 get two pasta specials, two kids meals and a jug of soft drink for $75.

Open from 10am to 4am.

Located conveniently in the town square, opposite Ringwood Station, you can snag a pub classic - including a steak sandwich, cauliflower salad or cheeseburger - for $25, including a glass of wine or pot of beer on weekdays from 12pm to 3pm. 

Wednesday is parma night (from $20) and a steak on Thursday nights starts at $25.

Eastland’s Town Square, 175 Maroondah Highway, Ringwood.

Open from 11am to 10pm Sunday to Thursday, and 11am to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

The New Northcote Brewhouse does a Monday night parma ($23 with chips and salad), Tuesday night pizza ($16) and Wednesday night steak ($25 porterhouse with chips and salad).

Trivia is on every Thursday from 7.30pm. Free entry and prizes to be won.

This traditional pub has porterhouse steak with chips, salad and sauce for $30 throughout the day on Mondays.

On Tuesdays, it’s lasagne, with unlimited garlic bread sweetening the $30 deal.

On Wednesdays a parma with a pot or glass of house wine is $30.
