Furry friends for all: Friends of Gardiners Creek helps put a smile on students' faces

Are you an international student who is feeling extra lonely after being split from your pet back home? Then the Friends of Gardiners Creek Reserve’s “Meet the Pets” event might be for you.

Contributor Samantha Wheeler attended the event recently, with dog owners bringing their precious pups to enjoy a meetup.

Friends of Gardiners Creek Reserve convenor Graeme Scott said the event came about three years ago.

“They love the different sort of pets, but it helps us teach them how pets work in a free off-leash park,” he said.
