New-look Boronia station upgrade designs released
Major works are set to start in early 2025 and be finished by the end of 2026.
Have you seen the new Boronia Station precinct upgrades? Now's the chance to have your say about what looks great and what might need some tweaking.
Travelling between the Dorset Road shopping precinct and Boronia Station will be easier and safer, with a new landscaped plaza connecting locals directly to an upgraded station precinct.
The new plaza will include landscaping, seating and lighting to revitalise the area and create an inviting public space that will connect directly to a new pedestrian crossing for safe and convenient travel across Dorset Road.
The station will be revitalised with upgraded stairs down to the platform, an upgraded waiting room, canopies over the entrance and forecourt, and an updated pick-up and drop-off area along Lupton Way.
Increased lighting and improved CCTV around the precinct will improve safety in the area.
Bayswater MP Jackson Taylor said the upgrades were the most significant investment in the area over the past generation.
“It’s what locals asked for and I’m stoked that we’re going to deliver an incredible outcome that Boronia absolutely needs and deserves,” he said.
“I know the community can’t wait to see the project complete, as it is going to completely transform the heart of our suburb and improve accessibility for people using the station.”
The Boronia Station Upgrade is being delivered by the Level Crossing Removal Project with major works set to start in early 2025 and be finished by the end of 2026.
