The Basin Theatre holds stand-up comedy nights on Fridays. For $40 you get a well-known comedian and several support acts. Get warm and cosy at the base of the hills with a drink in hand as you roll with the laughs. Plus, you are supporting a local theatre company.

Comedy at Cameo in Belgrave
Cameo Cinemas holds monthly stand-up comedy events. The venue attracts some of Melbourne’s best comedians, and international acts have been known to perform here as well. Head indoors once it starts getting cold so you can get fuzzy with a load of funnies.

The Ten Saints in Croydon
The Ten Saints is a bar run by two mates who wanted to build a venue to rival what’s in the city. What makes these events different is that they start in the afternoon and finish at a reasonable hour.

The Firehouse in Ringwood holds occasional comedy nights. Upcoming headliners include Marty Fields, Tony Martin and Dilruk Jayasinha. You can arrive early and grab dinner beforehand or get a bite from a food truck in the beer garden (depending on the event).

Shoppingtown Hotel in Doncaster
The Shoppingtown Hotel is a popular venue for touring bands. However, you can also get tickets to a live comedy show. Check back on their website for regular updates and announcements. Kevin Bloody Wilson will be rolling into town soon as part of his Aussie Icon tour.
